I don’t know about you, but when I leave my downtown office and go home on Friday evening, I don’t want to drive back to downtown on Saturday morning to go to the farmers’ market. No, I want to stay as far away from that office as I can get.

So what’s a poor, fresh-food-hungry girl to do?

Thank you, Seventh Place Market! This is an extension of the St. Paul Farmers’ Market on the Seventh Place Mall, on Wabasha St., just down from the old Macy’s.

Though it has fewer vendors than the weekend market, it has the same rules for fresh, locally grown produce. So you can do your grocery shopping at lunchtime, and cook all weekend long.

On the Seventh Place Mall, next to Candyland. How ironic! Can you eat enough vegetables to offset the calories from the candy?
